- Candidate must be at least 25 years of age
- he/she must be of sound mind
- They must not old any office of interest
- Must have the educational qualification as per the laws enacted.
- They must not be declared criminal or must not be having any legal proceeding against him
- Must not be insolvent
- Must be a voter of any constituency
- Candidates from recognised parties for nomination must have one proposer from their constituency.
- An independent candidate required a minimum 10 proposers for nomination from his/her constituency.
- Candidates need to deposit rs 25000 as security.
When is the Parliamentary General Election 2024?
The Parliament holds a general election once every 5 years to elect the members of the lower house.
